Sophomores – What To Do in October

Very commonly, sophomores will take the PSAT in October. The PSAT is offered on only two days in October (October 12 and October 15 this year) and is often given to all sophomores at their high school. The PSAT is a pre-SAT test, but it also gives a good indication of how a student will perform on the SAT usually taken during junior year. Parents, because the PSAT is administered at school, results are often given to students in their English class in December or January. Very commonly, when we ask families to see the PSAT scores, parents have no idea results were given to students. Some schools do a review night to help explain the results to parents. Check school websites to find out when scores will be distributed.
